Join the Columbia RC Flyers for a day of fun, hanger talk, swapping, and trading.    Don’t miss our famous chili. As always, the event is held RAIN,

WHAT: Over 150 tables in a five hour R/C swap meet followed by an auction to sell     any remaining equipment and supplies for those interested. No auction fee.

ADMISSION: $5.00 Adults Children under 12 free

TABLES: $12.00 Next to Wall $10.00 Elsewhere

For 2012 - Prepay for Table(s) and Save $5 Admission Fee:

A free admission will be given to each person who registers early and pays in advance.

After making reservations by phone, simply mail check (payable to CRCFM), or cash, to Columbia R/C Flyers, 103 Ridgewood Ct., Columbia TN 38401. Reserved prepaid tables must be cancelled by January 9, 2012 in order to obtain a refund if your plans change.

SCHEDULE:

Doors open at 7:00 AM. for table setup and 8:00 AM. for general admissions. Unpaid reserved tables must be claimed by 9:00 AM. Auction begins at 1:00 PM. Raffle drawing is at 2:00 PM. Indoor electric flying will be allowed for anyone interested starting about 3:30 PM, (after table cleanup). Flying will go until pilots call it quits

DIRECTIONS:

From Nashville take I-65 South and from Huntsville take I-65 North to Saturn PKWY, Hwy 396 West (Exit 53). Follow Hwy 396 West to Hwy 31 North (Spring Hill). Turn left at the first set of traffic lights Stephen P. Yokich Pkwy. (Look for the McDonalds on the corner). Turn left into the UAW parking lot behind the mall.

From Lawrenceburg, take Hwy 43 North to Hwy 31 North to Spring Hill. Turn left at the first set of traffic lights after Hwy 396 on to Stephen P. Yokich Pkwy., (Look for the McDonalds on the corner). Turn left into the UAW parking lot behind the mall.

Columbia RC Modelers

Interested in radio controlled or R/C model flying?  Been away from the hobby for a while and want to see if it is still as much fun as it used to be?  Do or did you fly control line or free flight and wonder what radio control flying is like?  Looking for a hobby for you and your children?

Try the hobby of radio controlled model flying.  Come on out and see our flying field and paved runway in Columbia, TN.  Give our club trainer aircraft a try with one of our flight instructors.  We are an AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) chartered R/C flying club.  Our club has been active in the Columbia area since 1987.  The flying field is an improved area comprised of 37 acres located on Monsanto Road.  Amenities include a paved pit area with safety fence, a 50’ x 500’ paved runway, partially enclosed pavilion with work tables, toilet facilities  and a concrete helipad for helicopters.  Visitors and family members are welcome.  So bring the family and a picnic lunch and join us for a day of fun in the sun on any Saturday or Sunday and even during the weekdays depending on job schedules.

Membership Information

We conduct our monthly business meeting at 1 p.m. on the last Saturday of each month in the clubhouse at Emory Cole Field in Columbia.  Bring your plane and fly before and/or after the meeting if you desire.

Complete the application and bring it to our next meeting or contact and mail it to an officer.  Our only requirements are a valid AMA membership (for insurance purposes) and a willingness to have fun.  Membership dues ($60) are payable annually.  Junior (18 years and under) memberships  are also available.  Membership for both junior and standard new members will be prorated to the 1/2 year (6 months) in which they join.
